Your Pilgrimage Itinerary...

March 5, 2018: Our pilgrimage to Italy begins as we depart the USA for and an overnight flight to Milan, Italy. 

March 6: Upon arrival into Milan, we gather our luggage, board our deluxe motor coach, and head to downtown Milan for a guided sightseeing tour. Later this afternoon we will check into our hotel for some leisure time before our welcome Mass and dinner. Overnight Milan. 

March 7: This morning we will continue our visit of Milan starting with Mass at the Duomo, Milan’s magnificent Basilica where our chaplains will celebrate Mass at St. Charles Borromeo’s tomb. Following some leisure time in Milan we set off for Bologna, Italy arriving there in time for dinner. Overnight Bologna.

March 8: Today we will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Bologna, including a visit to the Church of St. Sigismund, the burial place of Blessed Imelda, Patroness of First Communicants. Overnight Bologna. 

March 9: Our first stop will be in the city of Siena. This medieval city is the birthplace of St. Catherine "Doctor of the Church". We will see many sights including a visit to the Cathedral and the Basilica of St. Francis, containing the miraculous conse¬crated hosts that remained intact since 1730. View the incorrupt head of St. Catherine at the Basilica of St. Dominic. Next, we will visit the Shrine of St. Catherine, which occupies the site of her family home followed by a walking tour through the Siena including a visit to the Duomo. Overnight Siena.

March 10: Following breakfast in Siena we depart for Rome. Enroute we will visit the town of Orvieto and the cathedral that was built to commemorate the “Eucharistic Miracle of Bolsena.” . All roads lead to Rome. Upon arrival in Rome, we start with a sightseeing tour of the Eternal City, such as the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, the Roman Forum. Following hotel check-in, there will be time for relaxation before we gather for dinner. Overnight Rome.

March 11: This morning we depart for St. Peters Basilica to see the Holy Father (subject to the Pope’s schedule) pray the Angelus. After lunch, we will visit the 'Bone Crypt' at Immaculate Conception Church on Via Veneto and finish the day with a visit to the tomb of Mother Maria Inés Teresa del Santísimo Sacramento where we will participate in Sunday Mass. Overnight Rome.

March 12: Today we visit the basilicas of St. John Lateran including the Holy Stairs, St. Paul Outside the Walls, and St. Mary Major, where a reliquary containing part of the Holy Crib of Bethlehem rests. We will cap the day with a visit to the Collegio San Norberto. Overnight Rome.

March 13: We set off for a visit the Vatican Museums including the Sistine Chapel. Following lunch we will visit the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, and the Piazza Navona. Overnight Rome

March 14: Today Ancient Rome will be explored beginning with Mass at the Church of Santa Maria Ara Coeli (a Church on the Capitoline Hill which commemorates a vision of Augustus Caesar of the Virgin Mary). Next, we will visit the Mamertine Prison where St. Peter and St. Paul were imprisoned for 9 months. We also see the remnants of the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. After lunch, we will visit the Church of San Clemente where each of its three levels has historical and spiritual significance. Dinner. Overnight Rome. 

March 15: Today we enjoy Rome at our own leisure. Tonight we will gather for our closing Mass and Farewell Diner. Overnight Rome.

March 16: With a renewed sense of pilgrimage and an invigorated love of our Catholic faith, we board our plane for our flight home.
