Immaculate Conception Church invites you on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Petra! Explore Petra and Madaba. Take a boat from the Sea of Galilee to the Mount of Beatitudes. Visit the house of St. Peter in Capernaum, and see the Jordan River and Mount Tabor. Couples have an opportunity to renew their vows in Cana, where Christ preformed his first miracle, then we visit the house of the Holy Family. We visit the Old City of Acre, Haifa, and Caesarea. We tour Jerusalem, walking the Via Dolorosa while praying the stations of the Cross. See Bethany, the Mount of Temptation, Tomb of Lazarus and the Dead Sea. Spend time at the Grotto of the Nativity, Church of the Visitation, the Cenacle and the Garden of Gethsemane.

Your Pilgrimage Itinerary...
October 23, 2017: Our pilgrimage begins as we depart for an overnight flight to the Holy Land.
October 24: Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, our local Escort will greet us and take us by deluxe motor coach to our hotel on the beautiful Mediterranean coast. We will have an afternoon of leisure followed by dinner at our hotel. Overnight Tel Aviv
October 25: Today we depart Tel Aviv for the city of Eilat where we make the border crossing into Jordan. We will have an opportunity to visit the Red Sea before checking into our hotel in Aqaba. Before dinner we will have the opportunity for Mass at the Stella Maris Catholic Church in Aqaba. Overnight Aqaba
October 26: Following breakfast we depart for Petra - we begin the journey by foot through a gorge penetrating in the ancient city of the Nabataeans from the third century BC. We’ll visit the impressive monuments Sculpted in pink rock like the treasure “El Khazne” (tomb of a Nabataean king), the tombs, the Obelisks and the altar (to the Madhbah). Dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Petra. Overnight Petra
October 27: Hotel check out followed by our visit to Madaba to visit the ancient Byzantine city and see the ancient Mosaic map of the Holy Land and ruins of historic sites. Next, we visit Mount Nebo, where Moses saw the promised land. We continue towards Tiberias where we have dinner overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Overnight Tiberias
October 28: Enjoy a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to visit the Mount of Beatitudes where our Lord gave the Sermon on the Mount. Proceed to Capernaum to see the house of St. Peter, the Synagogue where our Lord preached, and the Church of Primacy of St. Peter (our spiritual director will have the opportunity to celebrate Mass here). We finish our day with a visit to the Jordan River. Overnight Tiberias
October 29: We go by motor coach to Mount Tabor to visit the beautiful basilica and the rock under the altar where the Transfiguration took place. We proceed to Cana to visit the Wedding Church where Jesus performed the first of His miracles: changing water into wine. Spouses may renew their wedding vows here. We move on to visit the Basilica of the Annunciation for daily Mass at the grotto. Finally, we will visit the house of the Holy Family underneath the Church of St. Joseph. Overnight Tiberias
October 30: Today we visit the Old City of Acre. Then we drive to Haifa to visit the Stella Maris Monastery and Elijah’s Cave, where our spiritual director will celebrate Mass. We continue along the coast to Caesarea to visit the Roman amphitheater and aqueduct. Overnight Jerusalem
October 31: Visit the Old City of Jerusalem going to St. Anne’s Church and the Pools of Bethesda. Following lunch, we will walk the Via Dolorosa through the markets of the Old City praying the Stations of the Cross. We end up at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Overnight Jerusalem
November 1: Today we travel to Bethany to visit the Church and the Tomb of St. Lazarus where our spiritual director will celebrate Holy Mass. Next, we go to the Mount of Temptation and the Sycamore tree that Zacchaeus climbed to see Jesus. Move on to the Dead Sea area to see the caves at Qumran. We finish with a visit to Masada, the fortress palace of Herod the Great and the last strong hold of the Jewish Zealots. Overnight Jerusalem
November 2: This morning we visit Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity where our spiritual director will celebrate Mass. We’ll also visit the Grotto of the Nativity and the Church of St. Catherine with the caves of St. Joseph and St. Jerome underneath the church. Next, we visit Shepherds’ Field. We proceed to the village of Ein Karem, birthplace of St. John the Baptist and location of the Church of the Visitation. Overnight Jerusalem
November 3: Visit the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Next, we visit the Church of Pater Noster where Jesus taught his disciples how to pray. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Rock of Agony. Mass in the Garden of Gethsemane. We will visit the Church of the Dormition Abbey, the Cenacle (the place of the Last Supper and Pentecost). Farewell dinner. Overnight Jerusalem
November 4: Departure from Tel Aviv for our flight home.
