Your Pilgrimage Itinerary...

April 9, 2018: Today, we depart on our flight to Nagasaki, Japan.

April 10: Upon arrival into Nagasaki, Japan, our Canterbury Tour Manager will meet us at the arrival gate and escort us to our hotel. Overnight Nagasaki

April 11: Following breakfast, we’re off to visit the Monument commemorating the Twenty Six Martyrs and the Museum, St. Kolbe Hongochi Church and Lourdes Grotto, St. Kolbe Memorial Museum, Oura Cathedral, and Mt. Inasa. Overnight Nagasaki

April 12: Following breakfast, we will visit St. Philip’s Church in Nagasaki, followed by a trip to Hirado to visit St. Francis Xavier Memorial Church and Tabira Church. Overnight Nagasaki

April 13: Today, we will visit Unzen Hot Springs martyrdom site and Shimabara, Unzen Church; sights of the Shimabara Rebellion, and Hara Castle. Overnight Nagasaki

April 14: Today, we will visit Nyoko-do and the Dr. Takashi Memorial Museum, the Urakami Cathedral, and the Nagasaki Hypocenter Park and Atomic Bomb museum. This afternoon, we will take the Kamome Express train to Fukuoka Station and board the bullet train to Hiroshima. Overnight Hiroshima

April 15: Today, we will visit the Peace Memorial Park, the A-Bomb Museum, the A -Bomb Dome, the Noboricho Catholic Church, Miyajima Island, and the Itsukushima Shrine. Overnight Hiroshima

April 16: Following breakfast, we will transfer to Kyoto by bullet train. Upon arrival into Kyoto, we will visit the Fushimi Inari Shrine, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, and the Nanban Dera Commemoration. Overnight Kyoto

April 17: Today, we will attend Mass at the Kawaramachi Church. Following Mass, we will visit the Kyoto Imperial Palace, the Nijo Castle, the Golden Pavilion, the Gion Geisha district, and the Monument to the 24 Martyrs. Overnight Kyoto

April 18: Today, we will transfer to Mishima Station by bullet train. We will then visit Hakone, including the Lake Ashi Cruise and the Hakone Catholic Church, and travel up Mt. Fuji (weather permitting). Overnight Tokyo

April 19: Today, we will transfer to Tokyo Station by local train and board the bullet train to Akita. Upon arrivel, we will visit the Our Lady of Akita Seitai Hoshikai Catholic Convent Church. Overnight Akita

April 20: Today, we will attend Mass at Our Lady of Akita Catholic Church and outdoor Stations Gardens. Following Mass and Stations, we will visit Kakunodate, Samurai District, including the Aoyagi Samurai Manor. We will enjoy leisure time this afternoon. Overnight Akita

April 21: Motorcoach transfer to Akita airport for our flight home.
