World Youth Day Seoul runs from Tuesday 3 August to Sunday 8 August 2027, the dates confirmed by the Holy See. Days in the Dioceses come first, from 29 July to 2 August, hosted by dioceses across Korea. The Seoul organizers have said registration opens in October 2026.
It is the second World Youth Day held in Asia, after Manila in 1995, and the first in a country where Christians are a minority. The theme is Take courage! I have overcome the world, from John 16:33. Pope Leo XIV is expected to join the young people in Seoul.
World Youth Day is aimed at young people from about 14 to 30, and the organizers welcome all who wish to take part. Groups travel with their parish, school, campus ministry or diocese, with their own priests and adult leaders.

The days before Seoul are spent as guests of a Korean diocese. Tell us if your group wants to take part and we plan the flights and the transfer to Seoul around it.
The official program runs through the week and, as at every World Youth Day, ends with the vigil and the closing Mass. We plan lodging and transport around the program as the organizers publish it.
Registration with the Seoul organizers is due to open in October 2026. On our departure the World Youth Day pass and pilgrim kit are included in the package. We tell you what we need from you and when.
Your group is flying to Seoul anyway. Our South Korea route, In the Footsteps of the Korean Martyrs, opens in Seoul at Myeongdong Cathedral and Jeoldusan and goes on to Solmoe, the birthplace of St. Andrew Kim Taegon, then Haemi, Daegu and Busan. Our standard program is ten days in Seoul, 1 to 10 August 2027, built around the official World Youth Day week of 3 to 8 August, with an arrival day before it and a free day after. Only the week itself is fixed. Your group can come earlier or stay longer, for Days in the Dioceses, the Korean Martyrs route or more time in Seoul, and we price it to your dates.
