Cancellations & Refunds

Cancel Anytime is part of our Classic with Cancel Anytime plan from Allianz. It lets you cancel for almost any unexpected reason that isn’t already covered by the policy, and reimburses up to 80% of your trip cost. Two things are important to know before you rely on it. First, the plan has to be purchased within 14 days of your initial deposit and can’t be added after that, so if it appeals to you it’s worth sorting out early (see “When should I buy travel insurance?”). Second, it isn’t available to residents of New York or Washington; if you live in either state, our Classic and Basic plans are still available to you. To cancel a reservation, send us written notice at hello@canterburypilgrimages.com. You’ll receive a confirmation email from us acknowledging your cancellation.

Yes, in most cases. Before 90 days from departure, you can transfer your booking to another person or to a different trip at no penalty. After the 90 day mark, transferring to a different trip is no longer guaranteed, but transferring your current trip to a new person is still almost always possible. One thing to keep in mind: if airfare has already been ticketed in your name, the airline may require a new ticket or charge a name change fee, separate from anything CCC charges.
