A pilgrimage is a journey to a place of spiritual significance, undertaken with the intention of growing closer to God. Rather than sightseeing for its own sake, a pilgrimage centers your trip around prayer, Mass, and encounters with the history and faith of the places you visit.
Each day typically includes Mass at a sacred site, guided sightseeing with a knowledgeable local guide, and time to reflect and pray. Meals and transportation (usually by private motorcoach) are part of your package, and a detailed schedule for the next day is posted in your hotel lobby each evening.
Everyone is welcome on a Canterbury pilgrimage. You don’t need to be a devout Catholic, or even Catholic at all, to join. Whatever your faith background or level of practice, all that’s needed is an open heart and a willingness to journey.
